Food Service Helpers assist in the routine preparation and serving of food as well as the cleaning of dining and kitchen areas.

General Statement of Duties: Such person should be able to independently perform routine clerical work and/or assist with higher order office responsibilities, much of which involve substantial use of software applications.

Requirements of Applicants:

 1. Graduation from High School or GED Equivalent

DESCRIPTION: Cleaners are responsible for the cleanliness and overall appearance of our school buildings. Such work is performed under the supervision of a Head Custodian and a Supervising Head Custodian. Cleaning experience is preferred. 

EXAMPLES OF WORK:  

Sweeping, mopping, waxing, vacuuming of floors;

Washes windows, walls, whiteboard, furniture, blinds, and other building furnishings;

Dusts rooms, hallways, furniture, and other furnishings;

Cleans and replenishes lavatory supplies;

Replacement of light bulbs;

Moving of building supplies, materials, furnishings and building equipment;

Minor paining;

May perform snow removal, shoveling, and salting of sidewalks

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:  Performs professional nursing services at one or more schools in accordance with acceptable health standards, maintains school health records and administers emergency treatment to students and employees.

EXAMPLES OF WORK: 

• Administers first aid and emergency treatment to students and employees;
• Prepares and maintains health records for school authorities;
• Assists the School Physician in physical, visual and auditory screening;
• Prepare records and reports as required.

ACCEPTABLE TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:  Graduation from a school of nursing approved by the State Education Department, Certification in CPR and AED 

SPECIAL REQUIREMENT FOR ACCEPTANCE OF APPLICATIONS: Possession of NYS Register Nurse License at the time of appointment.
