Requirements of Applicants: Completion of high school or equivalent GED; ability to speak, understand and write in both English and Spanish.
Typical Work Activities: (Illustrative only, but not limited to)
1. Uses word processing software to compose correspondence, reports, rosters, mailing labels, etc.
2. Uses computer applications such as spreadsheets, word processing, calendar, email and database software in performing work assignments.
3. Sorts, indexes and files correspondence, reports and memoranda
4. Operates other standard office equipment
5. Places/answers telephone calls to request and give information in English/Spanish
6. May open, sort and distribute mail
7. Checks reports for clerical accuracy
8. Fills requests for applications and forms and answers routine questions for completing them in English/Spanish
9. May maintain time and attendance records
10. May act as a receptionist, directing callers to the proper source of information in English/Spanish
11. May compose routine correspondence or minutes in English/Spanish from district or departmental meetings
12. May assist in various types of clerical work and/or simple calculations relative to the functional activities of the department.
Salary: $20.63/Hour
