Requirements of Applicants: Valid Driver's License; One year of experience in park or grounds maintenance; Working knowledge of equipment operation and maintenance; Ability to follow oral and written directions; Physical endurance
General Statement of Duties: The selected candidate will perform a variety of routine grounds maintenenace tasks. Below are examples of work for illustrative purposes:
- Mow grass, rake leaves, trim hedges and trees;
- Operate grounds maintenance equipment (trucks, tractors, rollers, mowing, line painting equipment, etc.)
- Maintain athletic and playground fields and equipment;
- Maintain sidewalks, roadways, parking lots, and paved areas, to include tennis courts;
- May perform minor maintenance to grounds keeping machinery and equipment;
- Paint and line parking lots, roadways, athletic fields and courts;
- Assemble, inspect, and maintain playground and athletic equipment;
- Keep district grounds free of litter;
- Plant and care for trees, shrubs and other planting;
- Snow removal / salt and sanding of roadways, parking lots, walkways, etc;
- Delivery of materials, supplies, and furnishings between district facilities.
Salary: Starting at $20.63/Hour
Hours: Full-Time (40 Hours/Week)
